Life at La Verne
Mitchell
Theatre research assistant and admission ambassador
When I’m not working on campus, you can find me rehearsing my music for my applied voice lessons, or rehearsing for a performance in the Theatre Arts Department.
If you can’t find an academic major that suits all of your interests, you can make your own major like I did with my musical theatre major. My musical theatre major encompasses both performance and theory in its curriculum and it has given me the best of both areas.
I love grabbing a quick bite to eat and hanging out with my friends at Barbara’s Place in the Abraham Campus Center.
As a commuter, I do not live on campus, however I chose to attend the University of La Verne for the sense of community that you get when you walk on campus. I’m able to feel like a person when I’m on campus and not like a statistic. I feel welcomed, accepted, appreciated, and most of all, cared for wherever I am.
The University of La Verne community is all about engagement. There’s always something to do on campus and attending events is a great way to meet people and make new friends.
